How it works?

Fire hydrant system consists of pipe work connected and pressurized with water supply to maintain a constant header pressure in the hydrant network. In the event of fire, thermo sensitive quarzoid liquid glass bulb sprinklers burst open.

This pressure drop activates the pressure switch contact based on header pressure in the hydrant network and system of interlinked valves.

The continuously monitoring pressure gauge then triggers one of the following pumps:

When the pressure reaches the preset pressure setting for Jockey pump, the Jockey pump will start automatically to compensate for the pressure differential.

When the falling pressure reaches the Preset pressure for main pump, the main pump will start automatically.

In case of electric supply failure, stand by diesel engine driven pump will come into operation.

At places where sprinklers cannot be installed, a fire hose reel drum or a garden hose or a hydrant point is installed.
